Charter passengers can now check in at their parking facility

Charter passengers at Stockholm Arlanda Airport can now check in at their parking facility.  Automated check-in machines are available at the Arlanda Långtid Alfa long-term parking facility and will soon be installed at the Arlanda Långtid Beta long-term parking facility.

Passengers flying with Air France, Finnair, Icelandair, KLM, Norwegian, SAS and Turkish Airlines have been able to check in outside the airport for some time. Now people who are taking a charter flight can also check in using the automated machines set up in the waiting area of the Alfa long-term parking facility and will soon also be able to do so in the waiting area of the Beta long-term parking facility.

Passengers select their airline or tour operator and then follow instructions on a touch screen. When check-in is completed, they receive a boarding card and baggage tags* straight from the machine. Then at the airport, passengers just need to drop off their baggage and go through the security checkpoint to their gate.

“Swedavia is continuously working to improve the passenger experience. Fast and easy check-in is one way. With check-in at the parking facility, the process is faster and the waiting time is shorter at the airport,” says Michael Persson Gripkow, chief commercial and marketing officer at Swedavia.

The charter operators that are available via the automated check-in machines at Arlanda Långtid Alfa are Airtours, Alpresor, Apollo, Fritidsresor, Langley, Nazar, Nortlander, Springtime Travel and Ving. Solresor will be added shortly.

*The possibility of printing baggage tags may vary depending on the airline’s regulations.
